Let's talk about sweet potatoes and what to do with them considering skin type.
1.Treats Oily Skin: Boil sweet potatoes. Let it cool,peel the skin with a fork and then mash.
Boil with the skin on as that is where your carotenoids and other beneficial contents are. Make a slit on the tuber skin running from top to bottom.
When done,mash in a bowl and add a tablespoon of honey and spread this over your face and neck.
Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse off. You can also add 2-3 teaspoons of lemon or lime juice to it,what I do is I microwave the lime from 30s to 1 min ,cut in half and squeeze one half into the mixture. The lime comes in handy considering you have very oily skin.
Mix into a fine paste.
2. Improves Skin Texture: After boiling sweet potato, do not throw away the water. It is packed with nutrients that can help in improving your skin texture and clear your complexion. After boiling sweet potatoes, strain thewater. Store this water in a bottle and keep it in the refrigerator to cool down. Use this sweet potato water as a toner for skin. This natural toner will help to absorb impurities, deep cleansing your pores and soothing irritated skin.
