Use your clear nail polish to prevent blackening of jewellery, especially costume jewellery.

It can be used to smoothen out edges of both plastic and metal hangers to prevent snagging of clothes.
Securing a screw
Tighten screws by brushing nail polish on the screw before inserting in the hole. This makes the screw hold firm.
Mending screens
if your screen has a small crack,nail polish can be used to mend it as long as the diameter of thecrack is not larger than 1/3 of an inch. Apply a small snout of clear nail polish to the area and leave to dry.
Sealing envelopes
if you aren't sure that your gum will hold or if it doesn't look neat, clear nail polish can be used to hold the flap in place of glue or gum.
