I'm so proud I finally put down this article...even though it might not leave drafts' for another few days (I hope not). It's sad how I have great ideas for an article out of random thoughts and just cos I forgot to put it down or note it somewhere, another beautiful piece of write up goes down the drain..anyway, I'm glad this 1 made it.
So I was at the mall to get some wet wipes and stuff and just as I was about to leave, I walked past the soft drink aisle, on looking closer at the coke bottles,I saw it was the ones with the names (marketing genius by the way), that's how I stopped to start searching for my name o, after minutes of checking, I settled for halima.. I wanted khadija so bad...*sadface*. Ahh,it pained me small sha. .lol. Coke touched so many with that idea.. you know..It made every customer feel special..knowing that your name could be on a huge brand and what not..lol..but we're not talking about how to be a successful brand today, we're talking about the incessant need for people to feel needed, special, different, recognised, loved..This need has been used to deceive, to be honest.. don't get me wrong, it's good to know that you're special to someone but if we're being real, we should know that the people who you're truly special to are your parents and hopefully your family and friends. Coke doesn't give a hoot about you,all they need is for you to drop some change for what they know will make you feel loved for a few minutes then It's back to reality for the remaining 23 hours 55minutes and if they have an idea that's gonna make you drop that change a little more frequently then score!!.
I read somewhere that realists are just sad people, lol,I completely disagree.
Okay enough talk, I don't know if this article made any sense to you or if I was able to communicate, but the message I'm trying to pass is this... I strongly believe in the fact that there are over 7 billion people on earth and knowing that you are just 1 of those 7 billion(not saying an insignificant 1 o) will make you work harder and knowing that no one owes you an explanation for why things didn't go your way eventually or why luck, fate etc hasn't smiled at you is in my opinion, the first step to success. This will make you push harder and give every situation your all, and not to expect that things will always favour you or go as expected. When things finally work out and you think it's luck, no it isn't...its because you've fallen many times and gotten back up stronger, it's because you've been rejected so many times and that rejection has made you change something about you for the better, it brings about growth and development albeit not on a smooth terrain.
