Inspire me!!!!! Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid (1950-2016)

Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid was an Iraqi -born British architect. She was the first woman and the first Muslim to receive
the Pritzker Architecture Prize , winning it in 2004. She received the
L Stirling Prize in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, she was created a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire and in 2015 she
became the first woman to be awarded the RIBA Gold Medal in
her own right.
Hadid liberated architectural geometry with the creation of highly expressive, sweeping fluid forms of multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry that evoke the chaos and flux of
modern life.

Here's what caught my attention..

I know it must take guts to break away from the norm and create something breathtakingly magnificent. I am amazed at what this woman has done with her years on Earth, she has set her prints on the sands of time, and hopefully will not be forgotten in a very very long time.
I'm just sad I only heard about her after her death.
Some quotes by Zaha Hadid

"You have to really believe not only in yourself; you have to believe that the world is actually worth your sacrifices."

"Women are always told, 'You're not going to make it, its too difficult, you can't do that,
don't enter this competition, you'll never win it,' - they need confidence in themselves and people around them to help them to get on"

"You really have to have a goal. The goal posts might shift, but you should have a goal. Know what it is you want to find out."

"When women do succeed, the press, even the industry press, spend far too much time
talking about how we dress, what shoes we're wearing, who we're meant to be seeing. That's pretty sad for women, especially when it's written by women who really should know better."

Lessons learned::: The world is counting on every one of us to make it an even more amazing place by giving us the opportunity to make our mark (time).
