Goodnight Al and La😒😒😒..Love, Dija

Hi, my name is Dija and for those who do not know me, I am the owner of the deceased. I would like to thank all of you for being here today to pay tribute to my favorite earphones, La and Al. Named after the people who gifted them to me. My one-time friends. To many, they might just be earphones but to me, they were my companions for over a number of years. La, gifted to me by an old friend, from the first time I saw him, I knew he would be mine. It was at Megaplaza, in VI, Lagos, while shopping for something which, for the life of me,I can't remember. As I was walking down the aisle in their hardware section, there he was, spanking new, bright yellow and looking down on me. I said to my friend look at that piece of gorgeousness.. My friend, with a look of disapproval said, "it's bright yellow". I didn't care, I wanted what I wanted!

From that day on, he went with me on every  trip. We had gone to so many places together, he kept me company in crowded  buses with noisy strangers, relaxed shores of many lakes watching YouTube videos on my phone, serenaded me with the sweet voices of artists like Sade, Brandy and Adele. He watched me fall in love with Tank and Donell jones. He cringed at my many failed attempts at twerking to Trap music, smh. He was a true friend.
I am going to really miss my earphones. I took care of them for many years, always made sure they looked as good as new, that they didn't get all tangled up with other cords. I once took an earphone to the phone shop for repairs, smh.
Unfortunately, as they say, all good things must come to an end and Al and La are no exception.Their memory lives on here as they lay side by side with their replacement. I hope he is inspired by their many years of undeterred loyalty. Rest in Peace, Al and La. (Cue tears)
